The Scandinavian market-leading Danish attachment manufacturer E.L.M., Kragelund A/S and the German company KAUP GmbH & Co. KG, a worldwide leading company in the field of attachments for forklift trucks, stationary material handling equipment and container spreaders have formed an agreement to cooperate in Europe.
As from 2011 E.L.M will market and sell the complete product range of the German manufacturer, in addition to their existing product portfolio, in Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. At the same time KAUP will market and sell E.L.M. products in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In a second step KAUP will extend their activities to other European countries. This means that, together, the two companies can offer the European market a comprehensive range of hook-on or integrated attachments for all conceivable applications.
The respective sales offices of both companies will offer consultation and service in close cooperation with forklift truck distributors through their own sales force in the respective countries. As usual dealers and customers will continue to meet the professional sales and service people of their responsible organisation.
This cooperation promises the user custom built attachments for each and every specific material handling task whereby the market proximity of the two companies ensures a cost-effective, flexible spectrum of products with short delivery times. The professional service support throughout the working life of the attachment is also optimally ensured as the relevant organisation can react quickly with immediate availability of wear and tear parts and short distances to the customer.
E.L.M. was founded in 1967 in Denmark and in 1973 targeted the production of attachments for forklift trucks.As one of the leading European supplier of attachments for forklift trucks E.L.M. develops and sells attachments that contribute to effective internal transport solutions and handlings solutions. Specializing in integrated attachments E.L.M is extremely flexible and supplies fork positioners for every known integration within a short period of time. The company is certified according to ISO 9001, welding-certified according to EN 927-2 and environmentally-certified according to ISO 14001.
KAUP was founded in 1894 in Aschaffenburg, Germany. Since 1962 the company has developed, under the motto „helping hands for your forklift truck“, into one of the world leading manufacturers of forklift truck attachments, stationary materials handling equipment and container spreaders producing approximately 40.000 units annually with over 500 employees at a turnover of approx. 65 Mio. EUR. KAUP is working together with all manufacturers and distributors of forklift trucks who distribute KAUP attachments together with their equipment. Production takes place in Aschaffenburg, Germany and in Xiamen, China. The company has representatives in 32 countries, 10 of which are KAUP subsidiaries and 15 independent representatives, who advise forklift truck distributors. All other countries are served directly by the Export Department at Head Office who also support the representatives.
