| KAUP supplies first eight fold Pallet Handler for pallets of full bottles | |||

Unloading a complete truck filled with 32 pallets of full bottles in just 4 trips was, up to now, unheard of. Thanks to KAUP the first eight fold Pallet Handler is now available. The first world wide Multi Pallet Hander for the transportation of 4 pallets of full bottles and 8 pallets of empty bottles was presented at the Hannover Fair 2000. This counted as the nonplus ultra for just about 2 ½ years. After all the forklift truck driver had, when picking up 4 Euro pallets next to each other x 2 pallets in front of each other, a 3,2 m wide and 2,4 m long load in front of his fork carriage. It was proven in operation that, after an initial run in phase, the truck driver concerned managed this transport task without problems. Soon the first pallet handlers of this kind were followed by 4 / 8 fold pallet handlers so that KAUP received an enquiry for the design of the first pallet handler for up to 8 pallets of full bottles. This was completed in summer 2003.
The result is most satisfactory. The Pallet Hander convinced all during perfect operation tests. In order to fulfil the customers request for a capacity of 8000 kg 6 layers of beer crates were used. The clamp alone weighs 3045 kg. The construction height is 2500 mm and the distance between outer edges of forks 2965 mm. In order to completely utilize the capacity of the Pallet Handler a 15 ton forklift truck is required. For transportation of less pallet weight with 5 layers of crates and approx. 800 kg, which is normal in the industry, the next smallest forklift truck is sufficient. KAUP has, with this new design, once again shown extraordinary competence in the field of multi pallet transportation. According to our calculations we are, with 12.000 Multi Pallet Handlers supplied, quite clearly world leader. KAUP’s reputation in finding the best solution for all operational requirements in multi pallet transportation was achieved by innovative design in this area.
