Fork positioners

After sideshifters the most popular attachments for forklift trucks are Fork Positioners. They are an important supplement of the forklift truck especially where the width of the load constantly changes. Adjustment of the distance between forks to accommodate different widths is a important aspect of safeguard in this kind of operation. Kaup realises the importance of these attachments and has therefore three different ranges in its programme.

The range T 163 SN:

Inexpensive, simple Fork Positioner with absolutely symmetrical fork adjustment via positive synchronism over a roller chain. The original forklift truck forks can be used. The construction width and therefore the opening range of the attachment is not dependent on the width of the fork carriage of the forklift truck. Also available without sideshift (T 163 N).

The range T 466: extremely variable concept with a total of four different executions

T 466      - hook on construction allowing the use of the original

                   truck forks

T 466 Z   - hook on cunstruction with forks welded on

T 466 I    - integrated construction allowing the use of the original

                   truck forks

T 466 IZ  - integrated constructions with forks welded on

Especially the both integrated versions with welded on forks offer an excellent residual capacity. The hook on versions are also available without sideshift.

The ranges T 411 Z, T 411 BZ, T 411 BZI:

Fork Positioners for extremely tough operation. The T 411 Z range of Fork Positioners is based on the T 400 Clamp range. The forks can be opened further than the construction width of the clamp body. Due to the large profile covering between fork guide and clamp body, spreading forces e.g. for the transportation of coils or cable drums, can easily be done. Separate sideshift enables the load to be handled with the forks fully opened or closed together.

The BZ and BZI executions have the so called valve block sideshift. (No sideshift possible when the forks are opened to the widest position). The size of the sideshift is a function of the distance between forks. This execution is standard conception for large opening ranges - zo ti 4400 mm measured over the outer edges of forks. The BZI versions is for integrating into the mast instead of a fork carriage to achieve even better residual capacities.
