Apprentice "Technical product designer - machine and plant design" at KAUP
"After A-levels, I really wanted to do something practical. As a result, a degree didn't come into question. The Careers Advisory Service (CAS) at the employment agency drew my attention to KAUP and the training. Previously, I had only vaguely heard about KAUP - a neighbour had spent half his working life there. After my CAS appointment, I asked him what he could tell me about KAUP. And it was completely positive. He was really enthusiastic. As a result, my interest was really awakened. It was therefore clear to me that I would apply to KAUP for a training position.
Right from the initial meeting I had a really good feeling. Not as a number, like it sometimes feels in other companies. I felt the whole time as if the other person really wanted to get to know me as a person. I was even happier when I received the acceptance from KAUP.
After the first months of my training at KAUP, I can already say that I made the right decision. For various reasons. For example, the structure of the training is really interesting and varied. Sometimes you work actively in production. Then we do design processing of customer orders on the PC. Pure variety. Furthermore, I learn about our products in detail as a result and from scratch. And the best thing is that you are never left alone. Colleagues help and answer questions - right from the first day. You feel like a fully fledged part of the team, which also sometimes meets outside of work. Then the subject of conversation is not just attachments."
