Award confirmed: KAUP continues to be one of the TOP traditional companies in Germany

Aschaffenburg, 6. December 2019 - An independent study by ‘Focus Money’ magazine and the Cologne-based ServiceValue analysis company gets straight to the point: KAUP GmbH & Co. KG (KAUP) continues to be one of “Germany’s top traditional companies”. KAUP was already part of this select group of companies in 2018. And in comparison with the previous year, the achievement was even increased again. The average value for KAUP calculated from 237,000 votes cast is 2.66 in 2019 (previous year 2.75). Thus KAUP almost reaches the range of the 'best' - the value of 2.65 would have been needed for this. With this result, the machine manufacturer achieves a very good 3rd place in its sector of capital goods, behind Carl Zeiss in 1st place and Linde Material Handling in 2nd place.

"We would not have expected this", KAUP Managing Director Holger Kaup is pleased about the improved result.

This time, 896 traditional companies with at least 500 employees from 106 industries were available to choose from in the study, which was carried out for the 2nd time.

Why this study?

The experts from ServiceValue wanted to use the study to find out who is still particularly successful today in standing out positively in the market. The respondents had to give their answers on a predefined 5-level scale from 'excellent' (I) to 'poor' (IV) for this. ServiceValue calculated an average value for each company from this. This is the basis for the generated ranking. KAUP, with its average value, is in the company of such renowned traditional companies as Merck, HeidelbergCement or the elevator manufacturer Schindler.

The survey of the participants and the preparation of the study took place under 'Focus Money' and ServiceValue’s own initiative, without any involvement from KAUP or other companies.
