Fourth production facility opened

Aschaffenburg, 17 March 2025 – KAUP GmbH & Co. KG (KAUP) opened a new production facility in India in the fourth quarter of 2024. The new location in the megacity of Nashik, not far from Mumbai, plays a key role in the machine manufacturer's expansion in one of the world's fastest-growing markets.

Attachments such as paper roll clamps, carton clamps and bale clamps are produced on a production area of around 1,200 square metres according to production guidelines that have already proven themselves in the other KAUP plants in Aschaffenburg, Xiamen (China) and Brisbane (Australia).

KAUP has been active in the Indian market since the late 90s’. Initially active with one dealer, KAUP India Material Handling Ltd. (KAUP India) has represented the manufacturer of forklift truck attachments on the subcontinent since 2012. KAUP India, based in Nashik, now has several office staff, two service technicians, a sales team and production staff to meet the increased demand in India and prepare for expansion into neighbouring regions.

KAUP had been planning to start production in India for several years. However, the coronavirus pandemic forced a pause of several years. It was only in 2023 that KAUP could resume its search for a suitable location. The company found what it was looking for within an industrial park in Nashik. The official inauguration of the production hall took place in October 2024 according to traditional Indian customs.
