LogiMAT 2026: KAUP presents the new SLC Generation
Aschaffenburg, 2th February 2026 – KAUP GmbH & Co. KG (Kaup) will be presenting the second generation of its successful 'Smart Load Control' (SLC) system for the first time at LogiMAT 2026. In line with this year's LogiMAT trade fair motto "Passion for Details", Kaup has focussed on the implementation of effective features that offer real added value for the user in everyday tasks.
This is what Managing Director Holger Kaup says about 'Smart Load Control': Our SLC system has established itself on the market and fundamentally changed handling with appliance clamps." He adds, not without pride: "Several hundred clamps with the SLC system are already in use by renowned users worldwide." A success story that is now entering a new chapter. "With version 2.0, we are now bridging the gap between minimal handling damage and the working speed familiar from conventional appliance clamps," explains Holger Kaup.
The Aschaffenburg-based machine manufacturer focused on specific optimisations with the aim of achieving accelerated loading cycles comparable to those of normal appliance clamps. At the same time, the principle of the patented 'Smart Load Control' system had to be preserved. This ensures damage-free handling by regulating the clamping force depending on the weight.
The result: 'Smart Load Control' 2.0
The 'Smart Load Control' system now consists of fewer components, optimised hydraulic components, combined complete valve units and other optimisations. This has significantly accelerated the charging cycles, which are now on a par with those of appliance clamps without SLC.
What other advantages does the new SLC generation offer in detail?
1. More efficiency
'Smart Load Control' 2.0 increases the efficiency of modern forklift fleets. This is because the intelligent system eliminates operating errors, as forklift drivers still have no direct influence on the clamping force. Manual pressure selection and initial pressure adjustment are no longer necessary. All adaptation are conveniently made via a new type of display in combination with an electric pressure relief valve – ideal for forklift changes or changing load types in the warehouse.
2. More service-friendly
'Smart Load Control' 2.0 consists of a reduced number of components that are more easily accessible to technicians and easier to adjust. This minimises set-up times and maintenance costs.
Appliance clamps with 'Smart Load Control' can be pooled. 'Plug and Play' facilitates flexible forklift changes. CE conformity of the carrier vehicle is always guaranteed, as Kaup's self-sufficient SLC system does not interfere with the forklift's hydraulics and all parts are installed directly on the attachment as a closed system.
3. More monitoring
All clamping operations are stored on the innovative display. The data obtained in this way can be easily downloaded and evaluated. In addition, a separate, programmed test mode makes it possible to collect further key figures and thus gain more knowledge about your own internal logistics.
4. More safety
The innovative display, which can be mounted in the forklift cab or directly on the attachment, is more than just a data storage device. With its integrated pressure display, it supports the forklift driver with various graphical representations. It provides visual information about the current status of the SLC unit and the applied clamping force – a crucial safety factor, especially for block storage at great heights.
