Still the first choice, even second-hand: the KAUP Rotating Fork Clamp
The initial situation:
The Stadtwerke Aschaffenburg - public utility company - (StwAB) operate two recycling centres in the Aschaffenburg area, where a wide variety of waste types can be disposed of professionally and in an environmentally friendly manner. For transport at the larger of the two centres, which is due to be expanded in the coming years, StwAB required an additional forklift truck with a suitable, robust attachment capable of meeting the demands. The pragmatic approach: The combination of devices did not need to be new. And for good reason, as all transport processes take place outdoors in all weathers. Furthermore, the load varies constantly: from pallets to containers, from stacks of dustbins to grid boxes…
Solution:
-
A used Rotating Fork Clamp (model 4.8T451) suitable for a Linde forklift truck H50/600D, which was purchased through the local Linde dealer, Suffel.
“We use it for everything – except pulling or pushing containers,” says Dirk Nagel, Operations Manager for Waste Management, about the new acquisition. “Even tasks that we couldn’t carry out at all in the past, or had to do manually, are now possible.” For example, waste containers can now be emptied mechanically or sorted ergonomically. KAUP's Rotating Fork Clamp makes this possible. The versatile attachment has been in use since early 2026 and has opened up new applications ever since. “The new attachment takes a bit of getting used to,” explains the waste management expert. “We didn’t have any rotating attachments before. But we’ll get used to it quickly.”
Successes:
-
A sustainable and cost-effective solution from the region for StwAB, and proof of the capabilities of the KAUP Used Equipment Centre.
-
Strong regional network:
- StwAB rely on equipment from KAUP and Linde/Suffel.
- KAUP commissioned StwAB some time ago to handle all its factory waste disposal.
- Suffel & KAUP: partners in material handling for decades - for both new and used equipment.
