Smurfit Kappa Impressive Bale Clamp
Smurfit Kappa Nettingsdorf AG & Co KG (Smurfit Kappa) is part of the globally active Smurfit Kappa Group and is one of the group's largest sites in Europe. The company from Ansfelden near Linz in Upper Austria, whose history goes back to 1851, specialises in the production of high-quality, unbleached corrugated cardboard base papers. A total of 450,000 tonnes of these papers is produced each year. To achieve this, Smurfit Kappa relies not only on an extremely high performance paper machine, but also on the use of recovered paper – in addition to pulp – as a raw material for its quality paper. Smurfit Kappa needed a new, customised Bale Clamp to handle this recovered paper.
